Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Coordinator to join the MSK Kids team.

MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering's pediatric program, is a national leader in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, blood disorders, and immune deficiencies. As part of our team, you'll help create a seamless and welcoming experience for patients and families while working with physicians, nurses, and administrative colleagues to coordinate care and support daily clinic operations. Your work will have an impact on the lives of children and families every day.

Role Overview:

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, and clinic flow to ensure efficient operations and timely access to care.
  • Manage clinic schedules and patient flow, making adjustments to promote efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative teammates to ensure clinics are organized and running smoothly.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and care teams, facilitating timely communication.
  • Prepare exam rooms and provide clinical support, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing medications, allergies, and pharmacy information.
  • Support a safe clinical environment by maintaining infection prevention and quality standards.
  • Drive coordination across multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues, anticipate patient needs, and maintain efficient clinic operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in healthcare, customer service, or another patient-facing support role required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in a clinical environment and perform basic clinical responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills and able to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week, hours vary between 6:30 am and 7:00 pm. Schedules are provided one week in advance, and flexibility between shifts is expected. All shifts are onsite.
  • Training: 3 weeks of classroom training at the beginning of employment from Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
  • Location: 1275 York Avenue
  • Employees in this role are required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and must be fit-tested for N95 respirators as part of MSK’s safety protocols.
