Role Overview
Provides executive nursing leadership for ambulatory nursing and clinical support services across infusion, office practice, and procedural settings within a large, multi-site outpatient network
Develops and executes strategic priorities that align nursing, clinical support, and operational goals with broader organizational growth and performance objectives
Leads the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise care delivery models to standardize workflows, improve coordination, and enhance system performance
Drives ambulatory care team model redesign, optimizing nursing and clinical support roles to improve access, care coordination, and patient outcomes
Serves as the senior nursing leader within a triad leadership model, partnering with administrative and physician leaders to align priorities across sites
Oversees clinical operations to ensure consistent application of evidence-based nursing practices and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
Leads quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards
Develops and executes workforce strategies, including leadership development, staffing model optimization, and talent management across ambulatory services
Provides financial and operational oversight, managing budgets and aligning resources to drive efficiency, sustainability, and growth
Key Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
10–15 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a complex academic medical center
Demonstrated experience leading across multiple sites, service lines, or regions within a healthcare system
Significant ambulatory care experience required, with oncology experience strongly preferred
Active NY/NJ nursing license required
Oncology and/or leadership certification required within one year of hire
Core Skills
Executive leadership capability in a highly matrixed, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to operationalize complex care delivery models
Deep expertise in ambulatory operations and clinical support workforce optimization
Financial and operational acumen with experience managing large-scale programs and budgets
Excellent communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills to drive system-wide transformation
