Role Overview
Lead the vision and direction of procurement operations at MSK, shaping a function that drives efficiency, scalability, and meaningful institutional impact
Act as a strategic partner within the Supply Chain leadership team, ensuring procurement priorities directly support clinical excellence, research innovation, and organizational goals
Oversee end-to-end purchasing operations, strengthening contract compliance, improving user experience, and reducing friction across the procurement lifecycle
Design and implement forward-thinking processes, tools, and data frameworks that enable faster decisions, greater transparency, and more consistent outcomes
Identify and realize cost savings opportunities while elevating value through thoughtful standardization, strategic sourcing, and strong alignment with internal and external partners
Lead the evolution of procurement systems and workflows, creating intuitive, streamlined experiences that balance operational efficiency with strong governance
Build deep, trusted partnerships across clinical, research, finance, and administrative teams to ensure procurement actively enables, rather than slows, critical work
Leverage data and analytics to move beyond reporting—uncovering insights, influencing decisions, and continuously improving performance across the organization
Develop and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous growth
Establish clear, effective governance models that protect the organization while remaining practical and easy to navigate for end users
Proactively find opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and unlock long-term operational value
Strengthen supplier partnerships to drive reliability, innovation, and risk mitigation, moving beyond transactional relationships
Champion digital transformation and automation efforts that modernize procurement and free up time for higher-value work
Key Qualifications
More than 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field
Minimum 4 years of management experience in healthcare, hospital, or pharmaceutical environments
Strong knowledge of procurement technologies, ERP systems, and web-based purchasing platforms
Expertise in financial analysis, cost savings tracking, and procurement performance measurement
Demonstrated success leading large-scale procurement transformations or system implementations
Experience managing complex supplier ecosystems and contract portfolios
Core Skills
Strategic leadership with the ability to influence partners and drive enterprise-wide change
Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
Strong communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex initiatives
Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities
Organization management expertise proven experience driving adoption of new processes and technologies
