Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Supervisor, Interventional Radiology to support operations at our main hospital campus. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a nationally recognized Interventional Radiology program, contributing to innovative, complex procedures that directly support world-class cancer care. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside leading clinicians and play a key role in advancing cutting-edge, minimally invasive therapies within one of the top cancer centers in the country.
Role Overview
Oversee day-to-day Interventional Radiology operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across a wide range of minimally invasive procedures
Manage staff scheduling, coverage, call, and time-off to support routine, urgent, and emergent procedural needs
Supervise, train, and support IR technologists, including onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing development
Serve as a hands-on clinical resource by scrubbing and/or circulating during procedures as needed
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support complex interventional cases and optimize patient flow
Monitor workflow, room utilization, and case prioritization to ensure timely care for both inpatient and outpatient populations
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, radiation, and regulatory standards (ACR, FDA, Joint Commission, MSK policies)
Support equipment readiness, inventory, and procedural supplies to maintain seamless IR operations
Identify operational challenges and partner with leadership to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency
Key Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or completion of a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
4–7 years of progressive radiologic technology experience, with strong Interventional Radiology/Angio experience
Active New York State license in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification required
ARRT certification in CT preferred
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
Demonstrated experience supporting interventional procedures, including scrubbing and circulating
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Core Skills:
Operational leadership in a high-acuity, procedural radiology environment
Strong clinical expertise in Interventional Radiology procedures and workflows
Ability to lead, coach, and develop technical staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
Effective communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings
Strong focus on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Ability to problem-solve in real time and adapt to changing procedural demands
Sound clinical and operational judgment under pressure
Proficiency with radiology systems (RIS, PACS) and procedural workflows
