About Us:

The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are currently hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Global Cancer Research and Training Program (GCRT) to join us in the fight against cancer.

As the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center, everything that we do is focused on changing the way that the world treats cancer. Research is integral to MSK's mission, and clinical trials help us discover better forms of patient care and treatment. Our extraordinary clinicians and scientists work together to drive innovation and tackle some of the greatest challenges of biomedical science!

In this role, you will work collaboratively as part of our research team focused on responsibilities related to managing clinical trial data. You will be a crucial member of our team as data is the key to our research, allowing us to continuously learn about the people and diseases we help treat. This position will focus on Global Cancer Research. The mission of the GCRT program is to improve outcomes for cancer patients in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) using collaborative research and training. In 2013, Drs. Peter Kingham, Director of GCDI-MSK, and Isaac Alatise founded the African Research Group for Oncology (ARGO).

Role Overview:

  • Collect, abstract, and enter data for research projects, databases, and/or protocols (clinical trials)

  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the life of the study

  • Collaborate with research and care teams across MSK regarding data input

  • Generate data reports and deliver them to all vital parties on the progress of the research project, database, or protocol

  • Design and/or improve databases, data forms, and tools (e.g. patient/human subject calendars, schedules, tracking logs) to facilitate patient consent and specimen collection as needed for assigned research projects

  • Ensure all appropriate Institutional, State, and Federal regulations throughout the study are followed

  • Coordinate clinical research protocols and serve as the main point of contact, if applicable

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical research, global health, healthcare operations, or other data-driven research environments preferred

  • Experience working in global or cross-cultural team settings

  • Familiarity with research databases, data entry, and/or data quality assurance; exposure to data management or basic analytics tools (e.g., Excel, R, or similar) preferred

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks or projects in structured environments

  • A 2-year commitment to the role is preferred

Core Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage cross-functional and cross-cultural collaborators

  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and proactively move work forward without close supervision

  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and quality

  • Interest in global health, clinical research, and improving health equity outcomes

Additional Information:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, some flexibility needed

  • Location: Manhattan, Upper East Side, hybrid schedule

  • This role includes annual international travel to Nigeria in support of global research and training activities

  • Reporting to: Research Project Manager
