Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Financial Analyst II – Real Estate and Operations

The Financial Analyst II position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with senior analysts while contributing to critical accounting and financial initiatives.

Role Overview 

  • Partner with senior analysts to support the monthend close process 

  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and General Ledger activity 

  • Support businessfocused financial operations, including real estate functions 

  • Maintain and analyze financial data used for internal reporting and decisionmaking 

  • Develop and manage Excelbased schedules, trackers, and analytical models 

  • Assist with reconciliations and variance analysis during close cycles 

  • Respond to adhoc financial requests from business partners 

  • Support process improvements related to accounting and reporting workflows 

  • Collaborate closely with more senior analysts to ensure accurate financial outcomes 

 

Key Qualifications 

  • Experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related roles 

  • Experience supporting monthend close, accruals, and General Ledger activities 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

  • Accounting background strongly preferred 

  • Experience supporting business operations or real estate finance is a plus

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment 

  • Clear communication with finance and nonfinance partners 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines 

 

Additional Information: 

  • Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday 

  • Location: Hybrid – Predominantly remote with flexibility to come on site as needed 

  • Reporting To Finance Manager, Division of Finance
