Project Manager, Transformation Management Office (TMO)
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Project Manager for the Transformation Management Office (TMO). The TMO provides direction, oversight, and coordination of transformation initiatives across the enterprise. In this role, you will support the delivery of cross-functional projects aligned with MSK’s strategic goals, ranging from departmental initiatives to broader transformation efforts, while partnering with project and operational collaborators to support execution by applying strong project management fundamentals and a structured approach.
Role Overview:
Drive core components of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, tracking, and coordination, with support from senior team members as needed
Assist in defining project requirements, dependencies, risks, and resources to support successful implementation
Apply TMO project management approaches to develop project plans, timelines, and tracking tools, ensuring delivery on time and within scope
Support risk identification, issue tracking, and address customer concerns to maintain project momentum and reduce delays
Facilitate working group meetings and collaborator check-ins, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and next steps
Contribute to project reporting, including status updates and materials for leadership and collaborators
Support change management activities, including collaborator communication, coordination, and transition to future state workflows
Build strong working relationships with collaborators across functions to enable effective collaboration and project execution
Key Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in a healthcare setting or complex organizational environment
Experience supporting moderately complex projects with multiple collaborators
Basic understanding of project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
Exposure to risk management, change management, and project planning practices
Strong communication and collaborator engagement skills across various organizational levels
Experience supporting development of materials and updates for senior leadership or executive collaborators
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos) is a plus
Core Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage project workstreams, timelines, and deliverables in a structured and organized manner
Strong attention to detail with the skill to prepare, maintain, and handle exact project documentation and deliverables, including charters, governance structures, project plans, timelines, status reports, trackers, and materials for team members
Ability to develop clear, structured, and visually effective presentations that communicate key messages, tell a compelling story, and support partner alignment and decision-making
Ability to translate operational needs into structured project plans and actionable workstreams
Ability to influence without authority at the project level, supporting collaboration across teams
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively across multiple projects
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities or project needs
Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and process flows
Additional Information:
Location: 633 Third Avenue, in midtown Manhattan
Schedule: 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. Hybrid, flexibility to be onsite as needed.
