Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Gastroesophageal Cancer Investigator (Pathology-Focused)

  • The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service in the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology is seeking an investigator with formal training in anatomic/surgical pathology and a strong interest in translational research in gastroesophageal cancers.

  • The selected candidate will be appointed as the Debbie’s Dream Foundation Gastric Cancer Investigator and will provide dedicated pathology expertise to support tissue-based research within the Gastroesophageal Cancer (GEC) Therapeutics Accelerator

  • Under the mentorship of Yelena Janjigian, MD, Carroll and Milton Petrie Chair, Chief of GI Oncology and Founding Director of the MSK GEC Therapeutics Accelerator the investigator will receive up to two years of protected research time to focus on biomarker development, tumor microenvironment studies, and integrated translational research.

Key Requirements:

  • MD or MD/PhD with training in anatomic/surgical pathology

  • Experience in translational or tissue-based cancer research

  • Preferred: GI pathology experience; familiarity with digital or multiplex pathology methods.

Core Skills:

  • Provide expert pathologic interpretation for biospecimens from gastric and esophageal cancer trials

  • Support tissue-based biomarker and translational studies within GECT

  • Integrate pathology with molecular, genomic, and clinical data

  • Contribute to grants and peer-reviewed publication

Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000

Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.

 

Pay Range: $0.00 - $10,000,000.00
