Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Senior Pharmacist

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking to hire a Senior Pharmacist for the day shift!

Role Overview:

• Review and process take home prescriptions in Epic/Willow Ambulatory as per MSKCC policy and state regulations

• Provide patient counseling and medication management

• Oversee inventory management

• Coordinate services with all MSK departments of patient care (including medication reconciliation, discharge planning, outpatient clinic services, and patient financial services (PFS)).

• Coordinate services with all MSK offsite pharmacies and regional pharmacies

• Assist with pharmacy inspections

• Assist with third party insurance audits

• Assist with copay collection

• Provide After hours on-call services (rotation)

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

• Someone with a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems

Key Qualifications

• PharmD (or equivalent) required.

• A valid NY State Pharmacist license required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must

• Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems.

• Prior Specialty pharmacy experience (strongly preferred)

• Retail pharmacy experience (preferred)

Additional Information

• Location: 39-40 Crescent St, Long Island City, NY

• Day shift position, Hours may vary. Current operating hours are 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday; future hours and days of operation subject to change based on departmental needs

• Reports to a pharmacy manager
