The role of the Door Attendant will assist patients, families, and visitors entering & exiting the

Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion for Cancer Care. He/ She will project a positive image of the Center by demonstrating a courteous, caring, and professional manner.

Role overview

• Provide assistance to patients and visitors entering and exiting MSK buildings.
• Identify, respond to, and attempt to resolve potential and actual concerns, problems, complaints and inquiries.
• Assist the Security Department in providing a secure environment for the hospital staff and patients by observations, inquiry, and timely referral for the follow-up by Security Guards and Supervisors.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g. fires, floods, bomb scares, power failures, toxic spills, weather) as outlined in the Emergency Preparedness Plan.

Key Qualifications & Core Skills:

• Ability to stand, walk, and continuously move around.
• Ability to assist patients in and out of wheelchairs and vehicles.
• Good interpersonal communication and judgment skills
• Prior concierge or Door Attendant experience highly preferred

Additional Information:

• 1275 York Ave (Main Campus)
• Schedule: Wednesday & Thursday 11am-7pm (53RD street location), Friday- 11am-7pm (53RD street location), Saturday & Sunday 8am to 4pm (Main Campus). Off on Monday & Tuesday.
