Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Per Diem Radiology Services Assistant to join our team in Nassau, NY. In this vital front‑line role, you will help create a welcoming and well‑coordinated experience for patients and visitors within the Radiology department.

As a Radiology Services Assistant, you will greet and assist patients and visitors, manage incoming calls, and support daily departmental operations. You will work closely with traffic control and clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and assist with the accurate processing of departmental records. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to service will directly support the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Role Overview:

• Welcome and check in all incoming visitors\patients with excellent customer service.
• Answer assigned phone lines and direct calls appropriately.
• Capture and distribute accurate, complete, and legible messages.
• Perform administrative tasks to assist in the preparation of patient paperwork prior to the procedure.
• Assist in scheduling Radiology appointments and coordinating visits.
• Input and update data into databases as required.
• Maintain a clean, operational, and safe environment.
• Escort patients to the appropriate changing rooms and assist them with the changing process as needed, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in Radiology Scheduling/Radiology clinical application systems preferred.

• An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
• Adept at creating partnerships and working with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
• A good decision-maker, with shown success of making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Additional Information:

• Schedule: Flexed schedules Saturdays and Sundays 7:30-6pm
• Location: 1101 Hempstead Turnpike, Nassau, NY
• Reporting to: Manager, Diagnostic Radiology

Per Diem Hourly Rate: $29 hr
