About Us:
The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.
JOIN THE PATIENT JOURNEY AT MSK
At MSK, we believe every moment in the patient journey matters—and this role is right at the heart of it!
We go beyond traditional scheduling. As a Scheduler on our Infusion Central Scheduling Team, we meet patients where they are—chair-side during treatment—helping plan what comes next while offering real-time support.
We stay active, connected, and present. We walk the unit, partner with care teams, and help patients feel informed, supported, and cared for every step of the way.
Do you like building real connections while helping people in meaningful moments?
Why this role matters
We make sure patients get the care they need—at the right time and in the right place.
We help shape the patient experience during treatment, ensuring each person feels supported, prepared, and confident about what comes next.
What if your daily work helped someone feel just a little more at ease during a difficult time?
What you’ll do
We stay close to patients and teams, balancing real-time support with behind-the-scenes coordination:
We meet with patients during infusion visits to schedule and plan upcoming care
We work chair-side in the infusion room, assisting patients in real time
We manage appointments—scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations across sites
We move between patient interaction and scheduling queues throughout the day
We partner closely with nurses and clinic teams to keep everything running smoothly
We help keep schedules accurate, organized, and on track
We support team projects and training as we grow together
What makes this role outstanding
We build real, ongoing relationships with patients throughout their care
We are part of the care team, not just behind it
We play a key role in how patients experience MSK
Are you someone who thrives when every day looks a little different?
You may be a strong fit if you…
Enjoy engaging directly with patients
Stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment
Communicate clearly, kindly, and confidently
Like balancing multiple priorities at once
Helpful experience
Scheduling in a medical setting (EPIC is a plus)
Working with patients or clinical teams
Familiarity with medical terminology
Core skills
Strong organization and attention to detail
Calm and confident under pressure
Flexible and able to adapt quickly
A true team player—we support each other
Why join us
At MSK, we care for our patients—and we care for each other. We offer benefits that support you at work and in life, including:
Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision)
Paid time off and support for work-life balance
Tuition assistance to help you grow your career
Retirement savings plans to support your future
Wellness resources to support your well-being
Looking for a role where you can grow and make a real impact every day? We’d love to meet you!
