Role Overview:
Assess and plan work by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and work orders; collaborate with customers to determine materials, tools, and approach
Perform routine and sophisticated electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with New Jersey electrical codes with minimal direction
Install, repair, replace, and test alarm systems, communication systems, electrical circuits, and related equipment
Execute electrical construction work including wiring for heat, light, and power systems
Partner with Plant Operations to support building needs including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general maintenance tasks
Develop solid understanding of site plant operations and assist with heating and air conditioning systems; pursue NJ Black Seal license within one year (encouraged)
Deliver adaptable, professional service when addressing customer questions and requests
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring accurate use of tools, equipment, and materials
Follow all institutional and regulatory safety standards and protocols
Accurately document work performed, including time, materials, and work order updates
Key Qualifications:

Action-oriented with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
Collaborative team player who partners optimally across departments
Flexible and adaptable in response to changing operational needs
Core Skills:
Solid understanding of New Jersey electrical codes with the ability to handle both routine and sophisticated assignments independently
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital or institutional setting
Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred
New Jersey Electrical License preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Proficiency using electrical testing equipment and tools

- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Report to: Associate Director, Plant Operations
