By coordinating real-time requests, prioritizing urgent needs, and maintaining clear communication, Dispatchers help ensure the right support reaches the right place at the right time. Role Overview
- Serve as the central point of contact for service requests, dispatching staff efficiently across assigned areas
- Monitor incoming requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency, location, and operational needs
- Coordinate daily workflows to support patient care, clinical operations, and hospital services
- Communicate clearly with frontline staff, supervisors, and leadership to ensure timely response and follow-through
- Track request status and update systems to reflect completed, delayed, or reassigned tasks
- Use dispatch and tracking systems (e.g., EPIC Grand Central or similar tools) to manage workflows and activity
- Identify service delays or coverage gaps and proactively escalate issues when needed
- Support shift transitions by ensuring continuity of service and clear handoff communication
- Assist with special projects, coverage planning, and operational improvements as assigned
Key qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in dispatch, coordination, operations support, or a related role (healthcare environment preferred)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with competing priorities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with frontline teams and leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when managing urgent requests
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems and workflows

Additional Information:
Location: 1275 York Ave (Main Campus)
Schedule: Mon to Fri 3pm to 11pm. Must be flexible. Weekends as neede.
