By ensuring researchers have access to high-quality patient biospecimens linked to meaningful clinical data, your work will help transform scientific questions into discoveries that directly impact patient care. Role Overview:
- Process and manage biospecimens daily, ensuring samples are handled with precision and in accordance with established protocols to support high-quality research outcomes.
- Contribute to ongoing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, helping maintain the integrity, reliability, and traceability of biospecimens.
- Collaborate closely with Seinor Bionbank staff and lab investigators to troubleshoot issues, resolve workflow challenges, and continuously improve laboratory processes.
- Operate lab equipment confidently and safely.
- Organize and prioritize daily assignments in partnership with technician colleagues and investigators to meet operational and research timelines.
- Manage lab supplies and reagents, including ordering, inventory tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Biological or Natural Science.
- Prior wet lab experience is required.
- Familiarity with QA/QC beneficial.

- Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks with no loss of accuracy.
- Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
- Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
- Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
- Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.
Additional Information:
- Location: NYC, Zuckerman Research Center
- Schedule: On-site, 37.5 hours per week; M-F 9am – 5pm
- Reporting to the Research Lab Manager.

Learn more about MSK Biobank: Biofluids Division is a centralized facility for the processing and storage of human biological specimens from patients with hematologic and lymphoid malignancies as well as solid tumors. The Biobank does not conduct actual investigative research but instead provides biospecimens to other investigators at MSKCC conducting research using human biospecimens. These may include blood cells, plasma, serum, bone marrow cells, or lymphoid cells or tissue. Each stored specimen is linked to demographic and clinical information regarding the patient’s diagnosis, treatment history, and treatment response. The Biobank adheres to stringent quality control standards to ensure that stored biospecimens are of consistent quality and linked to validated clinical information for MSKCC investigators using the shared resource.
Pay Range: $26.21 - $39.24
