Nurse Leader – Inpatient Critical Care (Stepdown/Hepatopancreatobiliary Unit, Memorial 18)
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Nurse Leader on Memorial 18, a 36-bed inpatient oncology unit with a hybrid model that includes an open step-down unit caring for critically ill and post-operative patients. The unit supports mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry. A fifteen-bed capacity is designated for step-down care, with dynamic patient needs ranging from long-term vented patients to high-risk post-op patients.

Role Overview:
The Nurse Leader (NL) has authority and accountability for administrative, clinical, and human resource operations at the point of care.
Provides leadership in alignment with the vision, mission, values, and goals of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and the Department of Nursing.
Utilizes the dimensions of Relationship-Based Care to cultivate an empowered and engaged work force committed to clinical excellence, quality care and service to patients and families.
Provide clinical and administrative leadership for nursing staff by developing and implementing programs, services, procedures, and quality nursing standards to ensure exemplary care for patients admitted into acute setting.
Will play a pivotal role in offering transformational leadership by creating and sustaining a healthy work environment that supports, furthers, and promotes excellence in patient care, clinical nursing practice, and patient safety.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. MSN preferred
New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license/registration
National Certification is a plus such as CCRN and/or PCCN
A minimum of 5 years recent, related clinical experience. Critical care and/or surgical oncology experience highly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills.

Schedule: 4/10 hr. Monday – Friday (Hours may vary depending on the needs of the department)
Reporting to the Director Nursing (Critical Care Services)
Pay Range: $146,100.00 - $241,100.00.

Pay Range: $164,100.00 - $270,900.00
