Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Clinical Radiotherapy Physicist
Join the Division of Clinical Radiotherapy Physics within the Department of Medical Physics at MSK’s Manhattan Campus. You will primarily support the radiotherapy physics service and contribute to clinical development projects as needed.
Role Overview:
- MSK operates 30 linear accelerators, one MR-Linac, two adaptive therapy units, six HDR afterloaders, and advanced imaging systems (CT, PET/CT, MRI simulators).
- We have an active Adaptive Therapy program on multiple platforms (one MR-Linac, two CBCT-based Adaptive therapy linacs, and standard linacs).
- Our Brachytherapy program is active in GU(LDR and HDR),GYN (HDR) services, intraoperative radiotherapy and ocular brachytherapy, among other applications. We have 2 dedicated brachytherapy HDR rooms with in-room imaging, and have 5 additional HDR-enabled rooms at main campus (2) and at the regional network (3). The brachy program treats over 800 patients annually and is one of the busiest and most innovative brachytherapy programs worldwide.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in medical physics or related physical sciences (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a radiotherapy physicist (Including residency)
- Passed or eligible for Part 2 of the ABR certification in therapeutic radiological physics and eligible for a NY state license.
- Board certification, clinical experience in brachytherapy, and programming skills are preferred.
Core Skills:
- Expertise in radiotherapy physics. A desire to participate in an eclectic team contributing to brachytherapy procedures, external beam radiotherapy, and CBCT-based adaptive therapy.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and radiologists.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills for clinical development projects.

- Pay Range – $182,100 - $300,200 depending on experience level.
