At MSK, our people are at the heart of our mission to end cancer for life. The Total Rewards Associate plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and financial security of our employees. In this role, you will deliver high-quality benefits support, guide employees through complex processes, and contribute to MSK’s commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. 

Role Overview 

  • Serve as a primary resource for employee benefits inquiries, delivering accurate, timely, and compassionate support. 

  • Research and resolve complex issues by collaborating with vendors and internal partners. 

  • Provide education and consultation to employees, physicians, managers, and retirees on benefit plans and eligibility. 

  • Facilitate benefits orientations and guide employees through leave of absence and retirement processes. 

  • Maintain and update eligibility records across vendor systems and internal platforms. 

  • Prepare benefits documentation, forms, and communications supporting ongoing administration. 

  • Calculate benefit deductions, pension service adjustments, and support payment reconciliations. 

  • Monitor data for accuracy, identify trends, and recommend improvements based on metrics and audits. 

  • Contribute to process enhancements that simplify employee experience and strengthen operational efficiency. 

 

Key Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of related experience; or 4–7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support anxious or escalated callers. 

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret policies, vendor responses, and plan provisions. 

  • Experience managing sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems and vendor platforms.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. 

  • High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently and proactively. 

  • Strong customer-service mindset with ability to build trust and deliver clear next steps. 

  • Analytical mindset with accuracy in data review, auditing, and documentation. 

 

Additional Information 

 

  • Location: Hybrid; 1 day a week at 633 Third Ave, NY, NY with additional flexibility for on site days as needed 

  • Reporting to Associate Director, Benefits & Leave Management
