Fellowship Overview:
This Hospice and Palliative Care program is one of the ten subspecialty tracks offered within the MSK APP Oncology Fellowship. This 15-month program, starting on June 29, 2026, is designed to provide qualified, committed, and compassionate APPs with the clinical and academic expertise needed to become future leaders in palliative and supportive care. Nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) in the program work alongside members of the Supportive Care Service and train side-by-side with physician fellows. The interprofessional approach, where NPs, PAs, and physicians train together at this world-renowned cancer center, ensures that graduates are uniquely prepared for collaborative care and team science. Upon completion of the fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NPs and PAs are prepared for independent practice and continued professional advancement in the palliative care subspecialty.
The program is open to newly graduated APPs, as well as those with prior experience as an APP. The fellowship is especially well-suited for those looking to gain specialty exposure to oncology and those eager for an immersive learning experience.
