About Us:

The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.

The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and successful individual with a background in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Working in our State-of-the-Art Urgent Care Center, the clinician will be evaluating and managing acutely ill patients with complications of their malignancy, cancer care or chronic health conditions. Open round the clock, year-round, the provider will determine whether hospitalization, discharge, or observation care is appropriate. The provider is part of a dedicated team operating at our Manhattan campus and may rotate to any of our Regional Sites with smaller facilities.

He/She will also participate in providing night, weekend, holiday, and backup coverage. He/She may be involved in video triage, remote care, as well as supervision of a team of Advanced Practice Providers at each site. He/She will also assist our APPs in managing patients in our 15 bed Observation Unit. Hires will be expected to teach House Staff, participate in collaborative research when applicable, and may embark on independent research.

Key Requirements:

  • Have Boards or be Board eligible in Internal or Emergency Medicine
  • Be an efficient physician with excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Enjoy working with patients receiving cutting edge, innovative, investigational or conventional Cancer Care
