Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Talent Acquisition Partner (Contract Role) 

We’re hiring a curious, proactive, and creative Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team and help advance MSK’s mission to end cancer for life. Every role we fill contributes to that mission — supporting the people, teams, and programs that make world-class cancer care, research, and innovation possible. 

Our Talent Acquisition team is evolving how MSK hires — combining strategy, creativity, and technology to strengthen how we attract and engage talent. We recently transitioned to Workday Recruiting (ATS) and launched our AI Hiring Assistant, designed to reduce administrative burden so recruiters can focus on what matters most: people, relationships, and quality hiring decisions. And we’re not slowing down!

Someone who connects the dots, asks good questions, and is always looking for ways to make the process better and more impactful. 

 

Role Overview: 

  • Flexibility to recruit across a variety of roles — clinical, corporate, volume, niche and everything in between — pivot based on team and organizational needs. 

  • Partner with hiring managers as a trusted advisor, using data and storytelling to help them make well informed hiring decisions. 

  • Proactively build pipelines and stay ahead of hiring needs, prioritizing opportunities before they become gaps. 

  • Support internal mobility by helping connect the right people to the right opportunities and removing barriers along the way including coaching and actionable feedback on upskilling. 

  • Collaborate closely with teammates — flexibility, cross-coverage, and shared accountability are key! 

  • Leverage AI and recruiting/data tools to streamline sourcing and reduce administrative tasks, giving you more time to focus on people and impact. 

  • Use insights and market data to drive conversations around hiring strategy, efficiency, and process improvement. 

  • Keep candidate experience at the center of your work — from first conversation to offer. 

  • Bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to challenges, always looking for ways to improve how we work and strengthen results. 

Key Qualifications: 

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience in a complex, matrixed, or high-growth organization. Warning - this isn't transactional recruiting! 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple searches across varied role types while hitting KPIs and SLAs. 

  • Experience influencing and advising hiring leaders with confidence and credibility. 

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Workday experience is a bonus - not required!). 

  • Strong comfort using metrics to inform decision-making and show progress. This is critical for success

  • Tech-curious and open to learning — comfortable with AI recruiting tools and change. Additionally, demonstrated experience leveraging AI and various tools as a recruiter. *We use Microsoft office suite including MS Teams, LinkedIn Recruiter/Insights, Lightcast, Textio & more! 

Additional Information: 

  • Assignment: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), 6-month contract with the potential to extend up to one year based on performance and departmental needs. 

  • Location: Hybrid — must be local to NY Metro area with flexibility to be onsite a few times per week based on client meetings and recruiting events (633 Third Ave, 1275 York Ave, and other MSK locations). 

  • Pay Range: $40–$41/hr.
