It's an exciting time for our department as Memorial Sloan Kettering has a state-of-the-art laboratory medicine facility on East 64th Street between First and Second Avenues. The Laboratory Medicine Building maximizes operational efficiency, allowing the Laboratory Medicine team to provide test results faster and reduce the amount of blood needed from a patient to generate those results.

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking an experienced Lab Technologist II with experience in Clinical Chemistry.
Role Overview:
Perform technical duties in laboratory sections as assigned.
Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files/databases.
Performs routine and advanced equipment maintenance.
Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.
Contribute to upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.
Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations
Provide direction, training, and feedback on routine laboratory procedures, as assigned.
Trains other technologists in the area(s) they oversee.
Oversees activities of assigned shift/area. Performs special assignments, as directed.
Monitor Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.
Ensure smooth workflow and demonstrate decision-making abilities in all aspects of performance in support of the Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences) required
Current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
2+ years of relevant clinical laboratory work experience required
Additional Information:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30 or 4 pm start time to 11:30 pm or 12 am (depends on bench assignment) will change weekly; Rotating weekend, every 4th weekend – 4 pm on Saturday to 8 am Sunday, would get day off week before

Pay Range: $46.26-$74.00/hr.
*10% night differential for all hours as part of schedule mentioned above, plus additional 10% weekend differential for any weekend hours worked.
