Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join Our Team as a Research Technician!

At MSK, we are proud to be at the forefront of biomedical science and research for over 70 years. We seek a motivated and dynamic Research Technician to support our cutting-edge research teams and help drive cancer research and treatment breakthroughs.

Role Overview:

As a Research Technician, you will be an essential part of Dr. Heller’s research team. You will work on developing a Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform consisting of quantum well defect-modified carbon nanotubes (QWNTs) for early diagnostic assessment. The platform will detect different types of cancer and characterize biomarkers using patient biofluids.

  • Develop and evaluate cutting-edge Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform.
  • Coordinate Patient Sample Biobanking: liaise with clinician-collaborators to identify and source patient samples for diagnostic analysis. 
  • Techniques & Assays: working on assays with patient biofluids.
  • Data Management.
  • Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 1 year of laboratory experience.
  • Preferred basic background knowledge in scientific computing, numerical analysis, and machine learning.
  • Must be able to work with patient plasma samples.
