ROLE OVERVIEW:


-  Order supplies from vendors and manage software systems like Helios, UPS, Vuetura, and Coupa.

-  Prevent stock-outs by proactively ordering and offering alternatives when items are unavailable.

-  Notify management of supply shortages and suggest cost-saving measures.

-  Verify deliveries, unpack, and distribute supplies accurately and timely to patient floors and clinical areas.

-  Monitor expiration dates and replenish supplies, linens, and pantry items daily.

-  Process returns, manage mail distribution, and oversee deliveries using VueturaTrac.

-  Supervise truck deliveries, assign loading bays, and provide necessary unloading equipment.

-  Inspect received items for accuracy and report discrepancies.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


-  Experience: At least 1 year of relevant logistics, supply chain, materials management, or warehouse operations experience.

-  Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to about 50 lbs, push/pull carts, walk frequently, stand for extended periods.

-  Technical Proficiency: Comfort with inventory & order management systems, and with tools such as Helios, Coupa, UPS systems, Vuetura or equivalents.

-  Attention to Detail: Accurate in verifying orders, inspecting deliveries, noting discrepancies, maintaining stock levels (including monitoring expiration dates)


CORE SKILLS:


-  Communication: Clear verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with internal staff, vendors & management.

-  Independence: Able to work with minimal supervision, make decisions for day-to-day task, while escalating appropriately.

-  Organization & Multitasking: Manage Multiple duties (ordering, receiving, distributing supplies, returns, monitoring inventories) efficiently.

-  Safety & Regulatory Awareness: Understand safe handling of materials, maintain cleanliness and follow organizational policies.

Location: 353 E 68th st Kimmel Building

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11am 7pm. With flexibility 

Report to Assistant Manager, Materials Management
