Our Pharmacy Department uses a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety! We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model. The department has one of the most robust set of electronic clinical resources in the country and a dynamic medication safety program.
Across the Center, we review 1.5 million orders per year and dispense over four million doses of medication annually. The Pharmacy Department has approximately 600 employees with 400 pharmacists servicing patients in 40 pharmacy satellites, including inpatient unit-based satellites in all oncological specialties.
MSK provides free, live, onsite, accredited continuing education pharmacy courses to help keep your credentials up to date. The department will also sponsor national and state membership for pharmacy organizations and appropriate off-site informative meetings. Role Overview:
- Perform Inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking).
- Complete annual proficiency assessments.
- Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
- Maintains neat, accurate records, and assures proper care for the environment and equipment.
- Distributes drugs, performing all usual technical functions associated with the drug distribution system.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections.
- Completes projects and/or activities, which meet departmental criteria to maintain and advance professional competency based on divisional guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.

- Shift: Variable, Start as early at 8a, finish as late as 7p
- Reports to: Specialty Pharmacy Manager
Pay Range: $28.42 - $44.00
