Scheduler, Radiology
The Department of Radiology at MSK works to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately and efficiently for Radiology exams. We schedule CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Densitometry, and Nuclear Medicine procedures. We help to provide general patient information, specific prep instructions, and directions to procedure areas. We confirm appointments, direct calls, and resolve concerns.
We are seeking a Scheduler to join our team!
Role Overview:
- Schedule all outpatient procedures according to patient needs and specified scheduling parameters, screen patients according to the guidelines, and give pre-procedure instructions for fasting.
- Answer the telephone using accurate telephone techniques and procedures in an efficient manner and handle each inquiry in a proficient and courteous manner.
- Confirm all appointments starting 48 hours before the procedure and emailing modality with cancellations and patients who could not be confirmed.
- Reschedule and cancel appointments as requested.
- Register new patients.
- Register outside MDs who are not in the system by finding their NPI numbers, addresses, and phone numbers either from the patient or by calling the doctor’s office. Add their information into EPIC.
- Work as part of a team by cooperating with other Radiology staff members and all Center personnel, participating in training, orientation, and mentorship for new schedulers.
- Completes special projects as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with computers, preferably with scheduling software (Radiology)
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology

Pay Range: $23.54 - $35.44
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
