Our experts also play a vital role in clinical research through contributions we make to the development of new laboratory tests and diagnostic platforms.

We are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist II to join our Koch Rapid Results Laboratory.

Role Overview:

  • Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files.
  • Prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer, with minimal supervision.
  • Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures. Perform routine and advanced equipment maintenance; Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.
  • Checks test requests are appropriate for specimen received and specimen meets all requirements before proceeding with accessioning
  • Verifies patient identification at all steps of every procedure. Maintains complete accuracy

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences) required
  • A current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
  • 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience

Additional Information:

  • Varying 8-hour shifts between 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Koch Lab: Monday & Tuesday
  • MHRRL Lab: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Position will float between Koch and MHRRL laboratories

 

Pay Range: $46.26 - $74.00

 

FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
