About Us:
The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Role Overview:
We are looking for musician volunteers to play in the lobby of our Kimmel Outpatient Center (353 E 68th St, New York, NY 10065).
Key Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years old.
- Willing to commit to a weekly 3-hour shift for a minimum of 6 consecutive months. Shifts will remain the same each week.
- If a former or current MSK patient, must be out of treatment for at least one year.
- Reliable, excellent interpersonal skills, compassionate, and proactive.
Onboarding Requirements: takes 4 - 6 weeks on average
If selected, complete a virtual interview. The selection process is based on scheduling needs and applicant qualifications.
Reference check: 2-3 references
Background check & drug screen (*18 years and older)
Medical Clearance: COVID-19, flu and other immunizations are mandatory for volunteers, no exceptions. Medical Clearance is at the expense of the applicant.
Core Skills:
Comfortable performing in lobby spaces with patients, visitors, and staff passing by.
Reliable.
Able to engage with patients.
Musicians must bring their own instruments to their volunteer shifts.
Pay Range: $0.00 - $10,000,000.00
