Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are looking for a Pathology Office Coordinator to join our team!

Our Department of Pathology consists of disease-specific pathologists, molecular diagnosticians, and researchers with expertise in a range of solid tumor types as well as hematopathology. Our pathologists collaborate with other specialists to customize each patient’s treatment based on their individual diagnosis. Molecular pathology and precision medicine are increasingly vital components of the work we do.

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting our Molecular Pathologists and laboratory operations through a mix of administrative, research, and clerical responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a lab or hospital setting who is passionate about cancer research and precision medicine.

Role Overview:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Molecular Pathologists, including calendar management, meeting coordination of remote and onsite meetings, and agenda preparation

  • Assist in coordinating operational meetings, preparing presentations, and taking meeting minutes

  • Assist in compiling data for the preparation of manuscripts for publication, and format data for submission

  • Research and compile data from the pathology computer systems and various libraries for presentation at conferences, staff meetings, workshops, and lectures

  • Prepare correspondence, charts, or other narrative and statistical materials using the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Provide telephone and email communications coverage using the correct techniques and procedures when receiving and making calls

  • Maintain spreadsheets and databases for studies

  • Coordinating and accessioning private consultations and any outreach initiatives for the molecular laboratory, receiving pathology materials

  • Assisting in ordering office, pantry, and lab supplies for the laboratory

  • Maintaining a daily slide and block filling system, returning outside pathology materials as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a lab or medical/hospital setting

  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise; familiarity with databases and research materials

  • Excellent Excel skills

  • Knowledge of EndNote

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

Additional Information:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, Hybrid Schedule (4 days onsite/week)
