Role Overview:
The LT3 specializes in one of six differentiated career pathways:
- Quality Management Specialist (QMS): Participates in monitoring and reporting QC; assures compliance with regulations.
- Laboratory Information Specialist (LIS): Oversees the laboratory's LIS responsibilities in collaboration with LIS management team.
- Education Coordinator: Coordinates education program for Laboratory in collaboration with lab management.
- Generalist: Provides technical expertise; assists in all areas of Laboratory as assigned by lab management.
- Assays: Develops new methods and improves current methods in collaboration with lab management.
- Specialist - Instrumentation: Coordinates equipment validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in collaboration with lab management.
Responsibilities include:
- Contributes to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assures a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area. Maintains adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.
- Participates in monitoring and reporting QC. Acquires thorough knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
- Oversees the laboratory's LIS responsibilities. Maintains knowledge and understanding of LIS systems.
- Reviews requisitions and orders, verifies accuracy of corresponding specimens, documents specimen collection information in LIS, accurately, and updates, as necessary.
- Assists laboratory management to design and set-up new assays, to choose analytical methods, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols.
- Maintains complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Sciences or Medical Technology required.
- 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience
- A current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
- ASCP preferred

Additional Information:
- Location: Westchester
- Shift: 1:30PM-9:30PM, Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays.
- Reporting into: Assistant Manager, Laboratory Medicine
Pay Range: $50.11-$80.21
