Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly motivated Research Lab Manager to help launch and lead a laboratory within our newly established Immuno-Oncology Department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee lab infrastructure, supervise personnel, support collaborative research, and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. You will play a central role in advancing cutting-edge research that builds on MSK’s legacy in immune checkpoint blockade, CAR-T and cellular therapies, and cancer vaccines. The Immuno-Oncology Program is committed to expanding our understanding of the immune system and developing next-generation immunotherapies that are more effective, more durable, and more accessible to patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily lab functions, including equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and inventory tracking.
- Oversee and support research staff, assign tasks and provide training.
- Coordinate experimental workflows, including mouse model studies, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Maintain lab protocols and ensure adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
- Assist with budgeting, monitor expenses, and handle purchasing and grant-related activities.
Key Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a research laboratory setting
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required; Master’s or PhD preferred
- Experience in immunology, oncology, or translational research is highly preferred
Core Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Deep understanding of molecular biology, immunology, and animal model research
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in lab management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, lab safety, and quality assurance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs
- Location: 417 E. 68th Street, NYC (Zuckerman)
- Reporting to: Principal Investigator, Immuno-Oncology Department.
Pay Range: $90,700.00-$145,300.00
