You Will:
- Work within Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model
- Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.
- Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.
- Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
- Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
- Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.
You Need:
- New York State RN license and BSN
- Two to three years clinical Nursing experience
- GU Prostate or GU Surgery in addition to Clinical research nursing experience preferred
- Medical Oncology nursing experience required
- Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
- BCLS
