Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The Clinical Microbiology Lab is currently seeking an experienced Microbiology Technologist III for their Translation Laboratory and will be responsible for all laboratory operations.

Our innovative clinical laboratories provide sophisticated technology and automated equipment that allow our teams to get to answers faster and more efficiently, with a strong emphasis on applied and translational research. Our new Laboratory Medicine Building improves operational efficiency, allowing our Laboratory Medicine team to provide test results more quickly and reduce the amount of blood needed from a patient to generate those results. Role Overview:
Work with Laboratory Directors on the set-up and design of new assays, selection of analytical methods, and validation. Establishes and optimizes operational protocols. Performance Expectations:
- Performs new assays, independently. Collects data, documents completely, and validates new method/assay.
- Applies statistical methods.
- Evaluates data results; summarizes data; prepares final report.
- Presents documentation to next level.
- Works with vendor technical support.
- Manages documentation; assimilates findings.
- Acquires and maintains a thorough knowledge of new test methodologies.
- Participates in advanced training.
- Educates/trains staff on new process/method/equipment.
- Develops/writes/updates new test/assay SOP.
- Creates competency for new test.
- Evaluates and documents competency of lab staff in collaboration with lab management.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree clinical laboratory sciences required
- 4+ years of proven experience required; Microbiology experience preferred
- NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
- ASCP preferred

Pay Range: $51.18-$81.95
$10,000 bonus for new hires!
