Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Integration Engineer II
Integration Engineer will be responsible to manage the coordination, planning, design, and delivery of integrations between MSK’s internal and external platforms, products, applications, and IT components. The Integration will delivery and ensure intra-system exchanges are secure, scalable, following best practices & patterns, appropriately deployed, and evolving as integration technology advances.
Role Overview
- Supporting enterprise and solution architects and project/product managers to implement specific business outcomes, developing overall implementation plans and articulating the tradeoffs, benefits, and risks of integration architecture solutions
- Providing cohesive integration architecture expertise throughout the organization. Educating and guiding engineers in the vision and use cases of specific solutions
- Resolving technical and business queries and deriving functional and non-functional integration requirements
- Conducting gap analyses, defining priority use cases based on gaps, and identifying right integration patterns
- Designing current and target state architectures in collaboration with practice SMEs and solution partners
- Developing, demonstrating, and publishing generic representation of deployable integration patterns, implementation procedures and integration standards
- Maintaining the inventory of communications and data flows and providing overviews of the connections between systems
- Mentoring engineering teams in requirements analysis, agile design practices, modern development processes & tools, and effective testing strategies
Key Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with API-based integration architectures and microservices design
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and Agile Integration techniques
- Experience designing and working with event-driven architectures and middleware architectures
- Expertise in orchestration and choreography-based integrations
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI)
- Knowledge of SSO, OAuth, OpenID, and SAML 2.0 for authentication and security
- Proficiency in SOAP and RESTful API designs following Open API specifications
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and SAFe Methodology
Core Skills
- Strong background in Modeling & Transformations (UML, Data Modeling, Schema Mapping)
- Experience with Kafka-based solutions for data streaming
- Proficiency in SCM, GitOps, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools
- Programming expertise in one to two of the following: Python, C#, JavaScript, Java, eSQL, and Shell Scripting
Additional Information:
- Location: 1-2 times a week onsite at 633 Third Ave, New York, NY
- Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday with Friday
- Reporting to: Associate Director, Software Engineering
- Pay Range: $118,800.00-$196,200.00
