Sarah Guntley: Leading with Passion and Purpose in Patient Revenue
For Sarah Guntley, Manager in Patient Revenue, working at MSK is deeply personal. After losing her father to colon cancer, she was drawn to MSK’s mission—a journey that has now spanned 26 years.
💡 A Career of Impact
Sarah started as a Group Leader in Patient Financial Services and grew into leadership roles in Managed Care and Patient Revenue, always bringing positivity and innovation to her work. Her team ensures that patients receive seamless financial support, from insurance verification to billing.
🚀 Innovating for Efficiency
Sarah helped develop Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline medical record processing, eliminating manual tasks and reducing delays. This initiative cut costs, saved time, and improved patient support, reinforcing MSK’s commitment to stewardship.

“After launching our first medical records robot for Anthem Blue Cross in 2021, we expanded with a Medicare-specific robot in 2024 to further improve efficiency,” she shares.
💙 A Life-Changing First Day
Sarah’s MSK journey is special for another reason—it’s where she met her husband, Everton, on her very first day. A chance encounter on the subway turned into a love story that continues 26 years later.
🌍 Beyond MSK
Outside of work, Sarah gives back by delivering meals to the sick and elderly in her church community, enjoying time with her family, and discovering new recipes.
✊🏾 On Black History Month
““It is an opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate the resilience and strengths of those that came before,” Sarah reflects. Seeing the progress in representation at MSK fills me with hope.
This month, we honor Sarah Guntley, a leader, innovator, and advocate, whose dedication continues to shape MSK.
