Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Supervisor, Revenue Cycle – Physician Billing (PB)

Role Overview
Oversee daily operational activities within a functional area of the Revenue Cycle division, specifically in Physician Billing
Lead, develop, and manage a team of 10+ staff, ensuring strong engagement, accountability, and performance outcomes
Continuously evaluate workflows, systems, and staffing to optimize efficiency and productivity
Monitor quality and performance standards, identifying trends and implementing improvement strategies
Lead responses to workflow changes, adjusting priorities and resource allocation as needed
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development
Manage accounts receivable processes, including payer trends, denials, and revenue disruptions
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, billing compliance, managed care, and clinical teams
Oversee financial outcomes tied to billing and collections, ensuring alignment with institutional goals
Lead or contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient and operational outcomes
Promote the use of data, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve revenue cycle performance and operational efficiency
Key Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience in hospital revenue cycle, patient financial services, or related healthcare operations
Required experience with Epic (Revenue Cycle modules preferred)
Familiarity working with clinical teams or healthcare billing processes
Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance, engagement, and professional development
Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, payer interactions, and reimbursement practices
Ability to lead and champion the incorportation of AI tools and technologies into existing workflows
Solid reporting capabilities, leveraging data to drive strategy and approach to account receivable management
Core Skills
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends and root causes in operational data
Proven leadership and team development capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Ability to effectively lead larger teams (10+) and drive accountability and results
Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage escalations and implement solutions
Organizational agility to adapt to changing priorities and maintain productivity standards
Curiosity and adaptability in leveraging new technologies, including AI, to improve processes and outcomes

Location: Hybrid 1x a month: 633 Third Avenue, New York, NY
Reporting to: Manager, Revenue Cycle
