Join Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), a world-renowned leader in cancer care, research, and education. As a Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Radiology, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology patients and their families while collaborating with an expert multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized oncology and radiology nursing expertise in an innovative, patient-centered environment.
Role Overview
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients and families throughout the diagnostic imaging experience.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
- Manage a caseload of patients undergoing a variety of radiologic procedures and diagnostic examinations.
- Cross-train to all diagnostic radiologic modalities (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Eco-cardiography, etc.)
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify patient-specific needs before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Deliver patient and family education, including preparation for diagnostic testing, treatment expectations, and symptom management.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and intervene appropriately to promote safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.
- Support continuity of care by coordinating with oncology teams across various stages of treatment and follow-up.
- Assist with intravenous access, medication administration, and other nursing interventions as required for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Key Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 1.5 – 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience required.
- Oncology nursing experience preferred.
- Radiology nursing experience and demonstrated IV therapy skills preferred.
- BCLS certification required; ACLS and national nursing certification preferred.

Additional Information:
- Schedule: 4x 10 hours flexed between 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday. Holiday rotation required.
- Location: 650 Commack Road, Commack, NY. Cross-coverage/rotation to NAS Radiology units as needed.
