As a Messenger, you will help support patient care by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment, documents, laboratory specimens, and patients throughout MSK locations in New York City. Role overview:

• Pick up and deliver mail between the Main Campus mailroom and other designated locations.
• Retrieve and deliver medical instruments to Central Sterile Processing at designated pickup times.
• Safely transport specimens, mail, treatments, and other materials from off-site locations to their designated destinations using approved containers.
• Transport patients safely and courteously.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with patients, hospital staff, and colleagues.
• Respond promptly to pickup requests from off-site locations and within the Main Campus.
• Answer telephone calls clearly and professionally, identifying yourself and your location.
• Obtain and document all required information from callers, including the caller’s name, time of call, extension, item being picked up, pickup location, recipient, and delivery priority.
• Complete all required documentation related to pickups and deliveries.

• Prior courier or messenger experience is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of internet navigation and email.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and respond effectively to time-sensitive requests.

Additional information:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
• Location: Koch Center, 530 East 74th Street, New York, NY.
• Reports to: Assistant Manager, Transportation.
