Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Senior Project Manager - Integrated Project Services (Planning, Design + Construction)

The Senior Project Manager, Integrated Project Services (IPS), plays a critical leadership role in shaping and governing MSK’s capital project delivery framework, ensuring the consistent, efficient, and data-driven execution of planning, design, and construction projects across the enterprise.

Role Overview

  • Serve as the owner of the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) capital project delivery framework, establishing governance, standards, tools, and lifecycle processes across the project portfolio.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies that drive consistency, transparency, and predictable project outcomes.

  • Maintain and oversee the capital project lifecycle, including intake, planning, design, procurement, construction, turnover, and closeout phases.

  • Define and govern project stage-gates, readiness criteria, standardized templates, workflows, and required deliverables for varying project types and complexity levels.

  • Lead enterprise project controls functions, including estimating, cost management, scheduling, forecasting, contingency planning, progress tracking, and change control.

  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Facilities, Technology, and other stakeholders to integrate organizational requirements into delivery processes and standards.

  • Oversee portfolio performance reporting, dashboards, analytics, and KPIs that support executive decision-making and governance forums.

  • Drive department-wide transformation initiatives focused on operational excellence, process optimization, technology adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivery standards, project controls, scheduling, estimating, analytics, and reporting excellence.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in capital project delivery, construction program management, project controls, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and governing project delivery standards, PMO functions, or project controls frameworks.

  • Experience supporting complex healthcare, academic, research, or institutional environments is preferred.

  • Project management certification such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent preferred.

  • Additional professional certifications in cost engineering, scheduling, sustainability, or related disciplines (AACE, PSP, LEED, WELL, etc.) are desirable.

Core Skills

  • Expertise in project controls, including estimating, cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  • Strong systems-thinking capability with the ability to translate strategy, policy, and governance requirements into scalable operational processes.

  • Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with experience leveraging dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills across technical teams, project leadership, and executive audiences.

  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, drive adoption of standards and best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Additional Information:  

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday  

Location: Hybrid (3x a week on site); 885 Third Avenue, New York, NY
