How can I review positions I’ve applied to in the past?
When you log in to iCims, you will be able to view your dashboard, which includes past job submittals. This will enable you to see the job ID number, job title, and the status of your application and the job you’ve applied to.
Will I receive updates on the status of my application / Does everyone receive an update?
You’ll receive an e-mail to confirm that your application was submitted once it’s been received. You’ll also be able to check on the status of your applications by viewing your dashboard. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Unfortunately, not every candidate will be contacted.
How do I update my resume?
You can update your resume at any time. When you log into iCims, you’ll be able to search for jobs or make changes to your candidate profile. You can upload a new or updated resume from your computer, Google Drive, or DropBox in the resume section of the job application.
I forgot my username/password. Is there a way to retrieve them?
If you forget your username and password, simply click the ‘reset password’ option on the log-in screen. You will receive an e-mail with information for setting your new username/password.
Why do I need to take a test to apply to the job I am interested in?
Some positions will require applicants to take an assessment before their application can be submitted. These assessments will evaluate an applicant’s skill level with tasks related to the role they’re applying to. Passing the assessment will qualify applicants to potentially move forward in the interview process.
How can I apply to a Temporary position?
We post temporary positions that are available for candidates to apply to in the same fashion as our permanent positions. We also work closely with staffing agencies that provide us with administrative, clerical, environmental services and other non-clinical temporary employees. These positions are generally advertised directly by our staffing agency partners.

Can I apply to/be considered for more than one job at a time?
You may apply to as many jobs as you are qualified for. Please keep in mind that you must meet the qualifications in the job posting in order to be considered as a candidate for any openings at MSK.
Where can I get more information on the job I am applying to?
You can get most of the information about the role from the online posting. If you’re a qualified candidate and a recruiter selects you for an interview, you’ll have a chance to ask additional questions.
What does it mean when a job is placed on ‘hold’?
Jobs can be placed on hold for a multitude of reasons. For the applicant, it means that resumes are not currently being reviewed as the job is not going to filled in the immediate future. If the job is taken off hold, or the same role opens in a different department/location, candidates with applications on hold may apply.
How do I refer a friend/colleague to MSK?
MSK employees understand what it takes to be successful here. For that reason, we welcome friends and colleagues referred by our employees. Certain positions are even eligible for a referral bonus. Employees can make referrals by visiting the employee referral portal in Workday.
