Role Overview:

  • Passionate about hospitality and dedicated to delivering outstanding communication at all times.
  • You will perform a variety of functions to ensure wonderful service to all patients, staff, and visitors in the hospital.

Key Qualifications:

  • Review patient meal ticket for all vital information (i.e., name, room number, diet order, time of order); ensures that corrective action is taken (e.g., contacting Diet Office) if information is incorrect or missing
  • Set up patient tray neatly, according to guidelines, to include hot and cold food items and all other vital items (e.g., silverware, china, beverage, condiments, etc.); places appropriate covers for each dish and beverage
  • Check assembled tray for accuracy and completeness prior to loading onto tray delivery cart
  • Load hot and cold tray delivery cart onto cargo master and dispatches to unit as specified on tray ticket
  • Ensure trays prepped and appropriately dispatched according to time printed on ticket
  • Advise room service associate on unit, via Nextel radio, that a cart has been sent to that unit
  • Supervises inventory of supplies (e.g., silverware, napkins, china, condiments, beverages, etc.) before and after each meal service
  • Completes Storeroom Requisition Form as needed and submits to supervisor for approval to maintain par levels

Core Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions
  • Experience working in hospitality: hotels, restaurants, and food & beverage or similar field.

Hours:

  • Flexible Schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • 37.5 hours per week
