We encourage our employees to champion their ideas and share their different perspectives, knowing that each individual contribution leads to a greater whole.
Our employee resource networks (ERNs) ensure that we continue to foster inclusive work environments. All MSK employees are welcome to join these voluntary, employee-formed task forces. These groups provide networking opportunities, enable knowledge sharing, and help raise awareness of our diverse employees.
Employee Resource Networks
The ABLE ERN focuses on advancing awareness and inclusion of people with disabilities. We do so by focusing on the eight a’s: attraction (recruitment), association (networking), assessment, assistance, advocacy, accommodation, awareness, and advancement.
The BLAM ERN was created to promote awareness, recognition, and appreciation of diverse ethnicities at MSK by providing a platform for networking and communication. BLAM aims to address the needs of MSK’s diverse patients, employees, and community through mobilization, community outreach, and career development.
MWM is dedicated to the professional and personal development of MSK’s female employees and aims to create an inclusive environment by connecting women at all levels of the organization. We provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, encourage awareness and understanding of our similarities and differences, and extend services to our organization and community.
The mission of LGBTQ+ Pride is to foster an environment in which our LGBTQ employees, patients, families, and community partners feel respected, comfortable, and valued at MSK, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We’re committed to the development of an inclusive and effective work environment through programming focused on networking, recruitment, retention, and career development. We also encourage opportunities for advancing participation in and knowledge sharing of LGBTQ healthcare and research.
VETERaN supports and creates initiatives that positively impact veterans in hiring, career development, accessibility, benefits, and more. By sharing the expertise and experience of MSK’s veterans and their families, and exploring programs and policies focused on vets, VETERaN works to further MSK’s strategic goals of recruiting and retaining top talent, increasing patient access, and enhancing the patient experience.
Office of Diversity Programs in Clinical Care, Research, and Training
Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Office of Diversity Programs in Clinical Care, Research, and Training (ODP) was established in 2005 to address disparities in cancer outcomes based on race, ethnicity, cultural differences, and socioeconomic status.
