Along with patient care and education, research is a key component of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) mission. We serve as a hub of biomedical innovation with investigators who specialize in every aspect of cancer research, from basic studies of cells’ inner workings to late-stage clinical trials of new drugs.
Translational research is an important focus at MSK. We are constantly applying discoveries made at the laboratory bench toward improvements in patient care. We also bring what we learn from patients back to the laboratory to enhance our understanding of basic cancer biology.
Our research staff includes scientists and physician-scientists who are recognized around the world as leaders in their fields. Together, we are making a vital contribution to the development of new and better therapies for the treatment of cancer and allied diseases.
