Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education.

We are seeking a full time plastic surgery physician assistant. This PA will work within a multi-physician practice.  Under the general supervision of a surgeon, the physician assistant will cover all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative care on the inpatient floors, outpatient clinics and in the operating room. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • First assist in the OR
  • Micropigmentation
  • Provide wound care
  • Participate in daily rounds
  • Collaborate with faculty, physician assistants, nursing staff, fellows and residents about patient care treatment plans
  • Order/interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe Medications
  • Counseling and Educating patients
  • Admission history and physicals, daily progress notes
  • Emergency room evaluation of reconstructive surgery patients
  • Inpatient plastic surgery consults
  • Discharge planning  

The PA candidate must be a graduate from an accredited PA program, be NCCPA board certified, hold a NYS license or be qualified for state licensure.  Preferably, this candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in plastic surgery or general surgery.  Exceptionally strong new graduates will still be considered.  The ideal candidate will be well versed in anatomy, a team player, excellent communicator, proactive and have a genuine interest in the field of plastic & reconstructive surgery.  This PA must also possess the ability to manage time and stress effectively as it pertains to patient care settings.

Four 10 hour shifts per week, including Saturday OR coverage.  No overnight shifts are required.
