About This Role:

Under the direction and supervision of a Clinical Nurse, the Patient Care Technician ensures the care, comfort and satisfaction of our patients and their families. While working in close collaboration with various members of the clinical team, the Patient Care Technician performs clinical duties and ensures that patients and family members are assisted in a timely, in an efficient and courteous manner. Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking vital signs (i.e., blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation).
  • Performing EKGs.
  • Performs Point of Care Testing (i.e., blood glucose monitoring).
  • Obtains blood specimens via peripheral venipuncture.
  • Obtains other specimens (e.g., urine, stool and sputum).


EDUCATION: Required: High School diploma or equivalency, Certification from an accredited Nursing Assistant or comparable training program and BCLS Certification.

EXPERIENCE: Required: At Least one (1) year of full-time patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting. Successful applicants must be professional and caring, possess strong communication skills, take an analytical approach to problem solving; enjoy working as part of a team, and exhibit initiative.

Shift: 7am-3pm Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation
