You will:

  • Perform sanitation duties (e.g., cleaning, mopping, dishwashing, pot washing and other related duties) within the various locations of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are operational and available at workstation.
  • Clean, sanitize and store pots/pans, dishes and silverware; clean and sanitize all Food and Nutrition Services department equipment (e.g. kettle, ovens, mixers, refrigerators).
  • Sweep, mop and clean assigned areas.
  • Ensure supply of dishes and utensils throughout the Main Kitchen and Retail areas.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage and other trash & recycling collections.

You need:

  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift. Ability to push, pull and lift heavy items weight up to 50 lbs.
  • One year of warewashing/postwashing experience in restaurant, hospital, school etc. and/or Porter experience including cleaning of kitchen appliances/utensils etc. strongly preferred.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time (18.75 hrs/week). This is the minimum number of hours required to be eligible for all of MSK’s great benefits.
  • You will work 2.5 days per week, with those days normally being between Monday and Friday between 6am and 9pm.
  • You will be required to work one weekend per month.
  • Your shift schedule will vary, and you will be advised of your schedule one week in advance. You will not be able to select a preferred shift.
