You Are:

  • Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), detail oriented; strong organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills; a pleasant phone demeanor, patient and friendly approach, and a can-do attitude are required.
  • Excellent judgment and timeliness required.

You Will:

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Perform administrative activities to maintain the smooth operation of the office. Tasks include picking up and delivering time sensitive correspondence and checks between Main Campus and other MSK locations; researching and updating address and other contact information for constituents in fundraising database.
  • Log checks received in Development office, preparing them for Virtual scanning deposits.
  • Assist Coordinator with department and vendor partner inventory tracking.
  • Order, distribute and track office supplies for the department.
  • Maintains an organized supply area to ensure easy and secure access
  • Initiates check requests, purchase requisitions, work orders, and other forms for approval.
  • Ensures all office equipment is in working order and handles all repair requests and follow up.
  • Review recorded calls handled by caging partner for Quality Control and SLAs.
  • Pick up, sort and distribute mail daily

General Donor Customer Service

  • Oversee correspondence related to returned or rejected donations
  • Provide phone coverage as needed
  • Provide back-up support on donor phone calls and email inbox coverage.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors who call into the department on an 800 line, providing information, resolving problems, and answering questions and requests made by donors.

Data entry

  • Respond to written requests and complaints from donors requiring a personalized written response by communicating directly with the donors by letter or by email whenever the response requires no specialized follow-up from other Development Department management or staff.
  • Coordinate responses to written requests and complaints from donors whenever the response does require follow-up from other Development Department management and staff. Cross train with gift processing staff to provide back up and ongoing gift processing support as needed, especially during peak volume season

Special projects

  • Monitor and track Returned Mail processing.
  • Supervise the mail pick-up and distribution schedule and ensure calendar and coverage is maintained.
  • Prepare checks for daily scanned deposit using Virtual Remit scanner and following Compliance guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

You Have:

  • High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • 2-4 years experience in a professional environment; development operations experience, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and other standard desktop applications required. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to be accurate in interpreting and entering data is essential as is a keen attention to detail.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
