About This Role:
The Surgical Technologist works in direct collaboration with the Registered Nurse and physician to meet unit and patient needs by performing patient care activities and offers comprehensive technical assistance during routine and complex procedures. The Technologist functions as an integral member of the health care team by contributing to the efficient operation of the unit. Performs circulating activities under the direction of the assigned RN circulator in multi-specialty cases (when one or more procedures are performed). Our Surgical Technologists also assist to precept new surgical technologists.
What You Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and national certification (NBSTSA).
Two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist. Ability to assist on complex OR cases and ability to cover multiple services and multiple cases. Must possess great communication skills, a high level of professionalism.
Shift: Full-Time position, shifts flexed between 7:00am – 11:30pm, Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation as needed as well as rotations to other MSK ORs as needed.
